German Robot Manufacturers

5 companies in the ZeroGantry manufacturer directory.

Germany is Europe's largest robot market and its automotive industry has been a major buyer of industrial robots for decades. KUKA, founded in Augsburg in 1898 and owned by China's Midea Group since 2017, is the best-known German robot brand, with its orange arms common in car body shops worldwide.

A newer generation of Munich- and Stuttgart-area companies focuses on sensitive, force-controlled arms and cognitive robotics: Franka Robotics' research arms, Agile Robots' cobots and NEURA Robotics' cobots and humanoids. Warehouse picking specialist Magazino, owned by Jungheinrich, is also based in Munich.

The companies below are headquartered in Germany. Each profile lists product lines, founding year and ownership, with links to our robot reference pages where available.
